Guest Speaker – Ms. Sangeeta Banerjee, CEG 1999 EEE and Co-Founder & CEO of Adda
Born in suburban Howrah (West Bengal), San did all her schooling in Kendriya Vidyalayas in Kolkata, Delhi, and Chennai. 1999 EEE CEGian she worked with TCS, completed MBA in Louisiana State University (LSU), worked with Capgemini in the USA, and got married to Venkat Kandaswamy – also CEG EEE (98). They decided to relocate from the USA to India in 2005. In 2008 Venkat took a sabbatical from Thoughtworks and started building ApartmentADDA. San continued in SAP for a year, doing customer demos on weekends. In 2010 San joined their startup full-time and has been serving as the co-founder and CEO. ADDA is a category creator for community mgmt SaaS in India and profitable with 1M+ paying users across 4 countries.
San loves 2 wheelers- rides superbikes and cycles to work three weeks per month. She is a Bharatnatyam student and lives in Bangalore with Venkat, their 14-year-old son, mother-in-law, 2 cats, and 1 dog.
