Kavitha Velusamy, Ph.D., has over 20 years of experience building and shipping impactful products such as Amazon Echo, NVIDIA’s Computer Vision Libraries, Cisco’s Telepresence, Bossa Nova and RobustAI’s autonomous mobile robots, and Leia’s 3D Light Field Display products. She is currently a Senior VP of Engineering at Robust.AI, a human-centric autonomous mobile robotics company. Previously, she has held leadership roles at Amazon, NVIDIA, Bossa Nova Robotics, iMerit, and Leia. She also teaches a course on AI for Robotics at University of California, Santa Cruz (Silicon Valley Extension). She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy, and a Doctorate from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore. She holds over 20 granted patents.
