Under his leadership\, D’Amore-McKim has become widely recognized for moving beyond traditional business silos and for embracing cross-disciplinary perspectives in both research and teaching. Programmatic innovations include the “MBA x” program\, “MS x” program\, combined undergraduate majors\, and work-integrated degrees with business partners; each of these help students and learners develop multidisciplinary perspectives by blending their business studies with non-business areas of expertise\, such as computer science or experiential design. He is responsible for the technology that helps UPS deliver ~24 million packages every day. \nSatyan began his UPS career in 2003 as Lead Application Developer and progressed through a variety of roles to Vice President\, in the Information Technology Customer and Billing Group. In this role\, Satyan was responsible for billing\, revenue management\, revenue analytics\, profit planning\, and the data exchange suite of applications that handle approximately $1.2 billion each week across several countries and business units. He also served on the UPS Architecture Board for solution architecture governance. \nHe is also responsible for leading work with the industry recognized ORION (On-Road Integrated Optimization and Navigation) and HEAT (Harmonized Enterprise Analytics Tool) programs. HEAT recently was recognized with a CIO100 award for 2021. \nPrior to joining UPS\, Satyan gained I.T. experience with leading consulting firms working for clients in the U.S.\, Latin America and Europe covering logistics\, credit cards\, retail merchandising and insurance domains.
