
Sangeeta Ramakrishnan is Vice President of AI Engineering at Cisco, where she leads engineering for AI Canvas, an industry-first, generative UI workspace that is fundamentally redefining how teams and agents collaborate to manage complex infrastructure—spanning networking, security, and observability.
Prior to her current focus on Generative AI, she led the development and delivery of Cisco Secure Access, a cloud-delivered Security Service Edge (SSE) solution that provides seamless, secure connectivity for the modern, distributed workforce.
Her technical leadership is deeply rooted in her tenure as a Distinguished Engineer at Cisco, a role in which she made significant contributions to the streaming video and cable broadband spaces.
In her 25 years at Cisco, Sangeeta has held both people and technology leadership roles spanning various technologies including Gen AI, Cloud Security, Streaming Media and Networking. A prolific innovator, Sangeeta holds over 30 patents with the US Patent and Trademark Office, with several more currently pending.
Sangeeta is a proud alumna of the College of Engineering Guindy (CEG), Anna University, where she earned her B.E. in Electronics and Communications Engineering. She is passionate about giving back to the CEG community and leads the CEG Alumni Association of North America serving as its current Chairperson.
Sangeeta also holds an M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
